Esapolis is the first and biggest museum of insects in Italy. It was created by the Province of Padua in cooperation with Butterfly Arc. The importance of this museum is particularly due to the originality of its project and of its contents and to the attention to the environmental sustainability of the museum complex. Visitors can observe the world of insects and interact with them on various levels. The museum has also a rich library, which contains books and periodicals from the 18th century to nowadays, represents a precious resource for the study of the birth and development of silkworm breeding in Italy. Esapolis offers numerous facilities: access to the disabled people, wardrobe, toilettes, parking-place, picnic area, covered snack area, shop.
