This beautiful villa was built between 1535 and 1542 for the bishop of Padua, Francesco Pisani. It is Designed by Giovanni Maria Falconetto in collaboration with the humanist Alvise Cornaro, the building has been further enriched by Giulio Romano. Inside it is decorated by an extraordinary cycle of frescoes by Lamberto Sustris. Harmoniously set amid the gentle landscape of Euganean Hills, after almost 500 years from its construction, the Villa still offers the same view of the surroundings. Here you can still enjoy the natural setting of the place, beautifully preserved over the centuries. The villa is now owned by the FAI (Italian National Heritage Trust).
